Book Reviews

I will start writing book reviews here.

I will start with my most recent read.

The Best Of Ruskin Bond :

The best of Ruskin Bond brings together some of the finest tales, short stories and novelas(Delhi is Not Far) .It is a book full of sketches from his life, written in simple style.I think thats what distinguishes him from most of the classic novalists. The fact that he writes real life incidents so lucidly that images start appearing in front of your eyes.It brings together some of his best works like “The Man Called Kipling” in which Rudyard Kipling talks to him in a London Museum and “He Said it with Arsenic”.Its a fine read and I would give it full marks for Penguin to bring together some of Ruskin Bond’s most beautiful works.

  1. The Night of The Dark Trees by Abraham Early

I was not a bad book in the end. The Story drags at many times in the book. However, what keeps you going is the wit with which Abraham Early has presented a simple story. The Characters are complex and no one knows why they are so.

At the end of it I got a lot of Information the High society philandring of Madras
